The Extraordinary Celebration Of Newcastle United Ends A 24-year WAIT To Return To Wembley Stadium
JAKARTA Newcastle United need 24 years to return to Wembley Stadium after reaching the English League Cup final for the 2022/2023 season.
Eddie Howe's men beat Southampton 2-1 at the St James Park Stadium on Wednesday, February 1 in the morning WIB, to seal a 3-1 aggregate advantage and step into the final party.
The success of ensuring tickets to play at Wembley again since 1999, was then celebrated with great fanfare by The Toon Army in their dressing room after the match.
A video clip uploaded to the club's official Twitter account shows two of their players Dan Burn and Sean Long Crew being congratulated by supporters as they walk down the tunnel to the team's replacement shop.
Longtas himself received a welcome from his teammates after his outstanding performance, scoring two winning goals for the team also known as The Magpies.

The players and staff members then posed to capture the excitement of the dressing room. They were seen jumping around while celebrating their historic victory.
Meanwhile, other video clips show fans being given the opportunity to see the atmosphere of the dressing room after the game was over. It happened when Burn decided to stop the post-match Long▁uang interview with the club television.
In the final later, Newcastle will face Manchester United. Of course it will be a difficult challenge.
If they win in the final later then Newcastle will make history. It will be their first major trophy since 1955.
"It feels really good tonight. I'm happy with everyone associated with this club. It's really a tense night," Howe said after the game.

Newcastle is a club that has just been revitalized since being taken over by Saudi Arabia Prince Muhammad bin Salman. Howe was later appointed to replace Steve Bruce in the coaching chair.
Currently, The Magpies are in fourth place in the Premier League standings. They collect 39 points or 11 points behind Arsenal as leaders.
The Magpies will play their next Premier League game at home to West Ham on Sunday. After that they travel to Bournemouth on February 11.
