The Indonesian Contingent Adds Medals At The 2023 World Shooting Championships
JAKARTA - The Indonesian contingent added medals at the World Shooting Championship or the 2023 ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol at Senayan Shooting Field, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 1. This time the medal was donated from the Putri Team's Air Pistol number.
The hosts added a bronze medal through Lily Sulistyadewi Tirthajaya/Rihadatul Asyifa/Arista Perdana Putri Darmono. The Red and White Squad ranks third after beating the Kazakhstan team in the bronze finals (Olga Bridnova/Irina Yunusmetova/Saule Alimbek) with a landslide score of 16-2.
"Since our qualifications we have tried our best to get the best score and in this final we have maximized it," said Arista after the competition, as quoted by Antara.
"I myself am grateful that I am not too nervous either because I have had experience from before. As for my two colleagues, this is the first time," said Arista.
In the bronze match, Arista and his friends appeared dominant. From the start, they immediately took the lead with a score of 2-0. Then Kazakhstan had equalized to 2-2.
After that, Indonesia continued to lead, making Kazakhstan unable to move. Until finally the representative of Merah Putih won a bronze medal.
The Indonesian representatives qualified for the finals after the qualifying round was ranked third of the five participants who appeared. At this stage, Lily and her friends packed 840-16x.
Meanwhile, South Korea (Juhee Kim/Ye Hin Oh/Min Kyung Oh) is in first place after packing 847-19x. The second position is occupied by Uzbekistan (Alina Tarasova/Sitora Ergashiboeva/Nina Saidkulova) with 843-16x.
Then Kazakhstan was in fourth position by collecting 826-9x. Meanwhile, Georgia (Lizi Kiladze/Mariami Prodioshivili/Nino Salukvadze) who were registered in the competition did not participate in this competition.
With these results, South Korea and Uzbekistan advanced to the final round of the gold medal match. As a result, South Korea came out as champions beating Uzbekistan with a score of 17-9.
Meanwhile, Indonesia and Kazakhstan are competing for bronze. The Red and White Squad was the winner.
"For me this is the first World Cup. We are grateful to be able to win bronze. But we must definitely continue to learn so that we can continue to perform better. We will prepare for the next events," said Lily.

On the same day, the 2022 ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol also overhauled the Men's Team 10m number Air Pistol. Indonesia with the composition of Muhammad Iqbal Raia Prabowo/Deni Pratama/Wira Sukmana failed to advance to the final round after the qualifying round took fifth place.
The winner for the 10m Air Pistol Men's Team is Turkey (Bugra Tavsan/Ismail Keles/Dikec Yusuf) who in the final round won the gold medal against Kazakhstan (Nikita Chiryukin/Alexey Lotarev/Valeriy Rakhimzhan) with a score of 16-2.
Bronze belongs to South Korea (Mose Kim/Seungwoo Han/Cheongyong Kim) who beat Uzbekistan (Ilkombek Obidjonov/Mukhammad Kamalov/Vladimir Svechnikov) with a score of 16-12.
So far, Indonesia has collected one gold and three bronze. Arista Perdana Putri Darmoyo/Muhammad Iqbal Raia Prabowo won the 10m Air Pistol Team Mixed. Then the bronze from Iqbal Raya was won in the 10m number of Air Pistol Putra and Audrey Zahra Dhiyaanisa/Khairunnisa Salsabela/Masayyu Putri in the Women's Team Water Rifle number.
These results put Indonesia temporarily in eighth place in the medal standings. South Korea topped the standings with two gold, one silver, two bronze.
Hungary is in second place with two golds. The third position is in Kazakhstan with one gold, three silver, one bronze. Then Austria is in fourth place with one gold, two silver, two bronze.
The fifth position belongs to Switzerland by collecting one gold, one silver, one bronze. Turkey and Uzbekistan share a place in sixth place by collecting one gold and one silver together.
