The Deputy For The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Addressed The Indonesian Corruption Perception Index Melorot, Former Investigator: Perhaps Pura-pura Ordered

JAKARTA - Former KPK investigator Yudi Purnomo Harahap spoke up regarding the Indonesian Corruption Perception Index (IPK) in 2022 drastically slumped. The trigger for the Deputy for Prevention of the KPK, Pahala Nainggolan, who was shocked by this.

Pahala admitted that he was surprised when he learned that Indonesia's 2022 GPA information fell four points at 34. Yudi responded to the news, which was summarized in the online news.

"Why are you surprised, sir? As an official and still an insider of the KPK, you can predict something like this will happen," Yudi wrote via his Twitter account, @yudiharahap46, Wednesday, February 1.

Yudi then gave a number of factors which he considered triggered Indonesia's GPA to decline sharply from the original in 2021 to 38 to 34 in 2022.

He said, including the revision of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Law in 2019 which was approved by the DPR and the government, to the dismissal of 57 KPK employees who were deemed not to have passed the national insight test or TWK.

"Antara lain karena revisi UU KPK saat ini, penurunan kepercayaan publik kepada KPK dari berbagai survei, TWK 57 pegawai KPK, pimpinan KPK terkena etik dewas etc," tuturnya.

Yudi's response was then commented on by a former senior KPK investigator, Novel Baswedan, who was also affected by TWK. As if sarcastically, Novel joked, "Perhaps he was told to pretend to be shocked".

Observing Novel's creation, Yudi also considered it better for the KPK to be introspective at this time by reflecting on the existing problems. "Ha ha that's it, bro, why be surprised, introspect yourself," replied Yudi.
