National Racing And Equestrian Figure Alex Asmasoebrate Dies

JAKARTA - The sad news came from the world of racing and horse riding in Indonesia after one of its leaders, Alex Asmasoebrate died in Jakarta, Saturday due to a long illness.

The passing of the father of the female racer, Alexandra Asmasoebrate, adds to the long list of Indonesian automotive figures who passed away after previously Helmy Sungkar, who was the father of racers Rifat and Rizal Sungkar.

Apart from automotive figures, Alex Asmasoebrate is also known as the General Chairperson of Pordasi DKI Jakarta and the Daily Chairperson of PP Pordasi.

"Has passed away to Rahmatullah H. Alex Asmasoebrate bin H. Ipik Asmasoebrate, Chairman of Pordasi DKI Jakarta, Daily Chairperson of PP Pordasi on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 00.15 at RSCM Kencana Jakarta," read a chain message among the media, reported by Antara, Saturday, 2 January.

The family felt a sense of loss. Do not miss people who have been quite close, including senior sports journalist Rialini Nonnie Rering, who previously visited Alex's late when he was sick.

"Two months ago I met at the residence (Jln Denpasar Jakarta) and told me at length about his condition. Mr. Alex also apologized to all his friends," said the journalist who has been friends with the late Alex for 20 years.

Even this woman who is familiarly called Nonnie wrote her impression on her social media page. And even the late Alex Asmasoebrate's daughter, Alexandra Asmasoebrate, also responded.

"Mbak Nonie forgive dad," wrote Alexandra on social media pages.
