Aceh Governor Nova Iriansyah: Nagan Raya Jade Mosque Becomes A Pilgrimage Tourism Destination
JAKARTA - Aceh Governor Nova Iriansyah hopes that the Great Mosque of Baitul A'la, Nagan Raya Regency, or known as the Aceh Jade Mosque, can become a pilgrimage tourist destination in Aceh.
"This pilgrimage tourism destination means people can see the beauty of the mosque and pray here," said Nova Iriansyah while reviewing the beauty of the Great Mosque of Baitul A'la in Nagan Raya, reported by Antara, Friday, January 1.
According to him, it is called the Aceh Jade Mosque because it was built using local jade materials typical of Nagan Raya Regency which were taken from natural surroundings in Nagan Raya, Aceh.
Starting from the walls, floors and a number of ornaments also decorated with jade, so it looks even more beautiful.
The mosque, which is currently in the final stage of the construction process, said Nova Iriansyah, is expected to become the center of Islamic culture in Indonesia, especially in Aceh.
The center of Islamic culture that he means, namely the mosque is not only used as a place for praying only. However, the mosque is also a means of education, a museum, as well as a beautiful mosque.
"On behalf of the Aceh Government, I would like to thank the Nagan Raya Regency Government, architects, instructors, including workers. Without them (workers) this work cannot be completed, ”said Nova Iriansyah.
He hopes that the mosque, which currently has consumed a construction budget of around Rp. 128 billion, can be built according to the specified specifications.
