JAKARTA - Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo bought bags and negligee clothes while visiting Beringharjo Market, Yogyakarta City.
Iriana entered Beringharjo Market through the west door accompanied by businessman Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, Gusti Kanjeng Ratu Hemas, along with members of the Solidarity Action Organization for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Era (OASE KIM).
At Beringharjo Market, Iriana, wearing a white shirt, then walked along the stalls of the traders and took the time to serve the request for selfies several times.
"Earlier shopping for bags, shopping for negligee. The price is affordable, the place is clean," Iriana told the media after shopping.
In addition to being impressed by the cleanliness of Beringharjo Market, Iriana also admitted that she was amazed by the hospitality of the sellers in the market located in the Malioboro area.
"The sellers are friendly," said Iriana, who then left the location by riding a rickshaw.
Dini Cahyanti, one of the sellers of various batik and clothing at Beringharjo Market, admitted that she was happy that her merchandise was bought by President Jokowi's wife.
He revealed that First Lady Iriana bought a number of his merchandise, ranging from batik cloth, pocket singlets to long singlets with prices ranging from Rp. 100,000 to Rp. 160 thousand per sheet.
"I'm happy, as a starter. The total expenditure is around Rp. 1 million," said Dini.
In addition to buying Dini's merchandise, in the largest market in Gudeg City, Iriana also bought a number of selempang bags that were sold at a shop owned by Cintriya Puspitasari.
According to Cintriya, First Lady Iriana shopped for various bags with her merchandise without bidding on the price with a total expenditure of around Rp800 thousand.
He admitted that he was nervous because he did not expect Iriana's shop to be visited. "I'm happy, nervous, nervous. The important thing is that I took a photo. Thank you, I'm very kind," said Citriya.
