Trade Minister Zulhas Calls Program B35 A Cause Of Langka Oil In Pasaran
JAKARTA - The price of bulk cooking oil and simple packaging has increased in several areas. Meanwhile, simple packaged cooking oil with the oil industry brand is actually rare in the market.
Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan revealed the reason for getting rare and difficult to obtain oil in the market. He said, one of them was because Indonesia's crude palm oil (CPO) supply was used for the B35 biodiesel program.
"Yesterday we increased B20 to B35. B20 sucked 2 million CPOs, to convert from being B30 it (needs) 9 million, converted to B35 it to 3 million, so it is necessary to 12 million, suck it again," he told reporters, written Tuesday, January 31.
Another reason, he continued, is because the current oil and beverage products are popular with the public. Moreover, these products are easily obtained in both traditional and modern retail markets. Thus, these conditions make the stock in the market scarce.
This oil is now a brand that is popular with every consumer. Oil is not only in traditional markets, but this oil industry has entered modern markets, modern retailers. Everyone is now buying Oilita. Because the quality is the same as premium brands," he said.
To overcome the scarcity of oil in the market, Zulhas, as Zulkifli Hasan is familiarly called, said that his party had invited cooking oil producers. He said the producer had agreed to increase the supply.
At first, the supply of oillicity was 300,000 tons per month. We increased the 50 percent earlier. Everyone has agreed. The signature of almost 30 (entrepreneurs) whose supply is 300,000 tons plus 50 percent to 450,000 tons per month," he said.
With this step, the Minister of Trade Zulhas hopes that Kumita will be easily recovered in the market.
Hopefully in February (increase production) due to fasting and Eid. Hopefully flood the market, so that in these people's markets it can also be normal again," he explained.
