Deputy Minister Of Trade: Digitalization Of MSMEs Can Maximize The Potential Of The Digital Economy
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga explained, the Ministry of Trade consistently develops the trade ecosystem through electronic systems. The goal is to maximize the potential of Indonesia's digital economy through the acceleration of digital transformation in an inclusive and sustainable manner.
This was conveyed by Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry during the Education of MSMEs Go Digital with the Deputy Minister of Trade, Dagangan, and HIPMI North Sulawesi in Manado, North Sulawesi.
One of the steps taken by the Ministry of Trade is the digitization of trade, especially micro, small and medium trade businesses. This step targets 1 million MSMEs (250 thousand people's market traders and 750 thousand non-people's market traders) through market digitization by utilizing digital platforms in terms of transactions and payments," he said in an official statement, Monday, January 30.
The Ministry of Trade, continued Jerry, has also collaborated with Bank Indonesia (BI) and Trade Organizers through Electronic Systems. One of them is the Dagangan platform to assist MSMEs into the digital ecosystem.
In addition, Jerry said, until now, the Ministry of Trade has also provided ease of market access for MSMEs to market products in the international market through 46 trade representative offices of the Ministry of Trade abroad.
"The openness of market access can also be obtained by utilizing 26 trade agreements that have been built by the Ministry of Trade," he said.
Jerry mengatakan, Kementerian Perdagangan juga memberikan fasilitasi pengembangan produk UMKM dengan menyediakan etalase produk UMKM melalui laman web https://portal-indonesia.id.
"This capital can be used by MSMEs to introduce their products digitally and facilitate the promotion and introduction of Indonesian products through the internet," he said.
