DPR Appreciation Of PDRM Reveals Actors Of Parody Of Indonesia Raya
JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Azis Syamsuddin, appreciated the quick stance of the Malaysian Royal Police (PDRM) for revealing the perpetrators of making parodies or insulting the Indonesia Raya national anthem who were suspected of being Indonesian citizens (WNI).
"We appreciate that this is one of the first steps to open the motive for making the video. We are waiting for the results of further investigations, lest any outsiders want to compete against the two countries which have good bilateral relations," said Azis Syamsuddin. , Friday, January 1.
He hopes the Malaysian Police can quickly coordinate and communicate with the Indonesian embassy in Kuala Lumpur so that the perpetrators can be immediately processed according to the legal mechanisms in force in the two countries.
According to him, this was because the perpetrator was suspected of being an Indonesian citizen who worked in Sabah, Malaysia.
"Indonesia respects the Malaysian legal process, we believe the Malaysian Police and the Malaysian judicial system will process the perpetrators according to the applicable law," he said.
However, according to him, if it is true that the perpetrator is an Indonesian citizen and the manufacture is in Indonesia, then by legal process, the Police can take over the case because the incident occurred in Indonesian territory.
The Golkar Party politician also asked the Indonesian Embassy in Malaysia to be proactive in following up on this issue so as to reduce the negative impact of this problem on bilateral relations between the two countries.
