This Is The Amount Of The 2023 MSME Tax: There Is A Change From Last Year!
YOGYAKARTA - Government Regulation Number 55 of 2022 concerning Adjustment of Income Taxing has just been signed by President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi. Wow, there is a change in the 2023 MSME tax!
This means that the easing and exemption of the mandatory income tax (PPh) of individuals and small entrepreneurs, as promulgated in the Law on Harmonization of Tax Rules (HPP) will immediately apply.
People whose salaries are below IDR 4.5 million per month are not taxed because they are below the taxless income limit (PTKP).
Meanwhile, the current PTKP is still consistent with IDR 4.5 million per month or IDR 54 million per year.
Thus, workers with a salary of IDR 4.6 million and above will be taxed each year with the lowest rate bracket, which is 5 percent.
Meanwhile, this regulation also controls taxes for traders whose businesses are carried out by themselves or private MSMEs.
Warteg traders, coffee kiosks and warmindo with a maximum turnover of IDR 500 million per new year are taxed.
Previously, individual MSME actors were all taxed because no control of the turnover limit was taxed. For example, income per year is only IDR 50 million or even IDR 100 million per year is consistently subject to a final income tax of 0.5 percent.
The following is the calculation of tax rates for individuals:
- Income of IDR 60 million is subject to a 5 percent tariff
- Income of IDR 60 million to IDR 250 million is subject to a tariff of 15 percent
- Income of IDR 250 million to IDR 500 million is charged a tariff of 25 percent
- Income of IDR 500 million to IDR 5 billion is subject to a tariff of 30 percent
- Income of IDR 5 billion and above is subject to a tariff of 35 percent.
Meanwhile, the following is the calculation formula for PPh for MSMEs:
- Taxable Revenue (PKP) = Omzet - PTKP (Rp 500 million)
- PPh = PKP x 0.5 percent
