Welcoming The New Year 2021, Sandiaga Uno Suggests DKI Jakarta Residents To Stay At Hotels
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno advised DKI Jakarta residents to "staycations" or stay in hotels to celebrate the holidays welcoming the New Year 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"If it happens that people in the community who want to take a vacation, I suggest 'staycation'. If not at home, maybe staying in a hotel that has applied strict and disciplined standards," Sandi said when visiting Thamrin 10, quoted from Antara, Thursday, December 31.
Sandi explained that hotels that run health protocols with discipline in the world of tourism are known to have CHSE or Cleaningness, Health, Safety, Environmental Sustainability.
"It's easier to call K-4. K-4 stands for cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability. That's my advice," said the former Vice Presidential Candidate in the 2019 Presidential Election.
However, he hopes that people can celebrate the New Year simply at home and do not need to move outside the house.
"It's better at home, but if you want to keep celebrating together, we suggest staying in a hotel and in accordance with health protocols. Keep upholding 3M's discipline," said the former Jakarta Deputy Governor.
As is known, in contrast to previous years, this New Year's turn must be celebrated in a simple manner and residents are encouraged to stay at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In DKI Jakarta, even all tourist attractions are closed from 31 December 2020 to 1 January 2021 so as not to create crowds of residents.
