Claimed Rp3.1 BILLION By CV Surya Mas, PTPP Will Accompany The Path Of Law In Accordance With Applicable Provisions

JAKARTA - The state-owned construction company, PT PP (Persero) Tbk, was previously reported to be facing legal action over a lawsuit filed by CV Surya Mas on December 9, 2022 at the Central Jakarta Commercial District Court with Case Number: 361/Pdt.Sus.PKPU/2022/PN.Niaga.Jkt.Pst.

The lawsuit filed amounted to Rp3.1 billion. The trial verdict on this case was scheduled for January 25, 2023, but CV Surya Mas withdrew the lawsuit and was granted by the Panel of Judges at the Central Jakarta Commercial District Court on the same day before the trial.

On January 26, 2023, CV Surya Mas re-registered the same lawsuit as Case Number: 22/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2023/PN Niaga Jkt.Pst. Responding to this, PTPP still states that the company has completed its obligations to CV Surya Mas and is ready to face trial at the Court in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Currently, PTPP is reviewing material and immaterial losses due to a lawsuit request, the revocation of the lawsuit, and the rebuttal of the same case by CV Surya Mas. PTPP will take legal action in accordance with applicable laws to restore its rights as a business entity.

"For the incident of lawsuit applications, the revocation of lawsuits, as well as the re-expression of the same case, PTPP will take legal action to restore the rights of PTPP if it causes material and immaterial losses for the company. As an open company that always prioritizes and applies good corporate governance principles, PTPP will always be committed to fulfilling obligations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," said PTPP Corporate Secretary, Bakhtiyar Efendi in a written statement, Friday, January 27.
