U-19 National Team Players Can Begin To Adapt To The Cold Weather Of Spain
JAKARTA - The Indonesian U-19 national team players have begun to adapt to the cold weather in Spain where they will undergo a training camp until the end of January 2021.
Quoted by Antara from the official website of PSSI from Jakarta, Thursday, December 31, players have started to enjoy every training menu given by the coaches, even though the temperature there ranges from 8-10 degrees Celsius.
"The development of the players is getting better, the players are able to adapt to the weather here. We are also preparing for a number of trials here," said assistant coach of the U-19 national team Nova Arianto.
According to Nova, Kakang Rudianto and his friends showed their enthusiasm to join the training camp. They are scheduled to undergo five trial matches, one of which is against the U-19 Saudi Arabia national team.
The other four opponents are from local clubs in Spain Gimnastic Tarragona, Lleida Esportiu U-19, Sabadell U-19, and Ceuta U-19. Nova hopes that the players can learn valuable lessons and experiences from each match.
"These five opponents are a good team. It is a valuable experience for the players. For that players must be able to make good use of these trials," he added.
Meanwhile, PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan also hopes that the players will continue to work hard even though the U-19 World Cup is postponed to 2023. This is because they will face another tournament that is equally prestigious, namely the U-19 AFC Cup in Uzbekistan.
"PSSI remains committed to the U-19 national team. Even though the U-20 World Cup has been postponed to 2023, this player is the embryo of the U-23 national team and the senior national team later," said Iriawan.
TC in Spain as preparation for Garuda Nusantara to participate in the 2020 AFC U-19 Cup which will take place in March 2021. At the event, Indonesia was in group A with the hosts Uzbekistan, Cambodia and Iran.
