Grave Land Crisis, DKI Provincial Government Permits Interlocking Cemeteries For Positive COVID-19 Patients
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has allowed overlapping burials for bodies that have been confirmed positive for COVID-19.
This overlapping burial may occupy the grave of the public burial place (TPU). The bodies of which are still the same family as the body of COVID-19. Because, currently the capacity of the special COVID-19 burial ground in Jakarta is running low.
"Overlapping funerals are carried out on existing bodies of buried families. Overlapping burial is possible after 3 years of previous family funerals," Riza said in her Instagram account, quoted on Thursday, December 31.
However, said Riza, the overlapping funeral has several conditions. Primarily, the heir of the tomb to be boarded allows and does not object.
"In general, there are no residents or heirs who have an issue with the overlapping funeral for the nuclear family, between children, husbands, wives, and so on," said Riza.
Overlapping burials are a temporary solution to accommodate the bodies of COVID-19 patients. Riza said that currently the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is still finalizing a new COVID-19 special burial ground in the Rorotan area, Cilincing, North Jakarta.
"We are currently confirming the burial of a new land for victims of COVID-19 in the first stage of Rorotan Cemetery, covering an area of 8000 meters from 2 hectares which can accommodate around 1500 grave plots. We are currently coordinating this," he said.
For information, here are the conditions prepared for the overlapping burial process for the bodies of COVID-19:
1. Photocopy of 2 pieces of identity card (KTP) and family card (KK) of the heirs.
2. Photocopy of 2 pieces of identity card (KTP) and family card (KK) of the deceased / deceased.
3. Photocopy of 2 pieces of cover letter for RT and RW.
4. Photocopy of 2 sheets of death certificate from the kelurahan.
5. Photocopy of 2 twins of corpse examination letter from the hospital / puskesmas.
6. A statement letter with a stamp duty of Rp. 6 thousand from the first heir or the one in charge of the previous grave stating that he does not object to the tomb being boarded.
7. Permit to use grave land (IPTM) for the last 3 (original) years to be boarded and 2 copies of it.
