Bank Muamalat Opens Registration Of Candidates For Hajj Pilgrims Digitally

JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk makes it easier for prospective pilgrims to register through digitization via the mobile banking application Muamalat Digital Islamic Network (DIN).

Director of Bank Muamalat Wahyu Avianto said that registration for the hajj portion can now be done online through Muamalat DIN without having to come to the branch office.

Bank Muamalat has also synchronized with the Haji Pintar application belonging to the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia so that registration and payment of Hajj costs can be done online.

"As a Bank Recipient of deposits for Hajj Implementation Fees (BPS BPIH), we have made digital innovations in the form of registration and payment of Hajj costs online. This makes it easier for prospective hajj pilgrims because it is practical, easy, anytime and anywhere directly from their hands, "he said in an official statement, Thursday, January 26.

He explained that the stages to register for Hajj through Muamalat DIN are as follows: First, prospective pilgrims first open their accounts online at Muamalat DIN.

Second, register and initial deposit of Rp. 25 million to the Hajj Savings Account (RTJH), after making payment the congregation will get proof of payment and validation number. Third, the congregation entered the validation number into the Hajj Pintar application belonging to the Ministry of Religion to get a portion number and year of departure.

In addition to the convenience of registering for Hajj through the DIN Muamalat facility, Wahyu continued, Bank Muamalat also has banking products for people who want to plan a pilgrimage called the Hajj Savings iB Hijrah.

Customers who open these savings will be equipped with Ihram debit cards that can be used to transact in the Holy Land. This card can be used at ATM machines owned by Bank Al Rajhi spread across Makkah, Medina and Jeddah and there are Indonesian transaction options available.

In addition, Bank Muamalat also has a special Hajj and Umrah financing product called Prohajj Plus. This product provides convenience for the public to register for Hajj faster without having to save longer.

For information, the total number of Hajj pilgrims waiting at Bank Muamalat as of December 2022 was 615 thousand, with details of regular Hajj as many as 572 thousand pilgrims and special Hajj for 43 thousand pilgrims. The number of savings accounts for Hajj pilgrims at Bank Muamalat is 840 thousand.
