Two Truck Drivers In Cengkareng Try To Fight When Arrested By Thugs Clothing Police

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police arrested two perpetrators of illegal extortion (extortion) against truck drivers in the Jalan Kayu Besar area, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. The arrests of the perpetrators were made on reports from residents to the police on Wednesday, January 25.

Based on the report, the police immediately went to the scene and immediately arrested the perpetrators.

The arrest of the perpetrators was also recorded by the residents' amateur cameras. Based on the footage, it was seen that members of the police dressed freely carrying long-barreled weapons immediately arrested the perpetrators.

The perpetrators of extortion fought back and struggled until they fell on the asphalt. However, thanks to the alertness of the officers, the perpetrators were arrested.

"Two perpetrators were arrested, both with the initials S (33) and I (31). Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators managed to escape," said Cengkarang Police Chief Kompol Ardhie Demastyo when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, January 26.

From the results of the arrests, the police confiscated Rp350,000 from the burglary of a number of truck drivers. The action was carried out by the perpetrators by looking for targets for trucks with regional license plates.

In their action, the perpetrators asked for money with a nominal value of hundreds of thousands of rupiah while threatening truck drivers.

"The perpetrator often scare the truck driver if his request is not granted," he said.

Currently, members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police are still pursuing two other perpetrators who are still at large. The police already know the identities of the two fugitive perpetrators.
