FX Rudi To Kaesang: If You Want To Enter PDIP, We Accept
JAKARTA - The PDI-P Surakarta Branch Leadership Council (DPC) has invited President Joko Widodo's youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep to join.
"If young people join the PDI-P, I am very open; including Mas Kaesang if you want to enter the PDI-P, please, we accept it," said PDI-P DPC Chairman Surakarta City FX Hadi Rudyatmo in Surakarta, Thursday, January 26, quoted by Antara.
The former mayor of Solo said to cadres and young people who do not understand politics to be more understanding in politics.
"So, we people live in politics. Politics is an art of managing aspirations. So, let me know what the political party contains. If it doesn't come in, then I don't understand. So, if Mas Kaesang is interested, I am very happy, (still) young have gone into politics," said the former mayor of Surakarta.
Asked about Kaesang's potential to enter the executive and legislative branches, Rudy said all members of political parties have the same rights.
"Please, everyone has the right. Whether to enter the executive or legislature, that is the right of all party members. Nothing can prevent everyone. Moreover, Mas Kaesang is the president's son, the political footprint is clear because it flows too. Just register with the DPC to get a KTA (member card)," he said.
However, to run for executive and legislative, Rudy explained that the process must go through a mechanism regulated by party regulations.
"The process is, if in the party there is a selection at the branch, branch, PAC, DPC level; it was only deposited with the DPP and DPD. Yesterday we did it too, but all of them are still general chairmen who have prerogatives. I am a militant party cadre, whatever the general chairman decides, the law must be implemented and won," he explained.
Rudy also hopes that Kaesang can invite more young people to join the white-nosed bull party.
"I prefer more. Our goal is to fight for power and people's welfare, not for the welfare of yourself. The aspirations of the people are managed in various ways, become political policies of the party," he said.
