53 Police In North Sumatra Fired, Most Involved In Narcotics Cases

JAKARTA - As many as 53 police personnel in North Sumatra have been sanctioned with dishonorable dismissal (PDTH) throughout 2020. They were involved in various irregularities and violations.

"During 2020, our members who committed irregularities, committed crimes we have decided with the dishonorable dismissal of 53 personnel in all ranks and positions," said North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Martuani Sormin, at the North Sumatra Brimob Command Headquarters, Medan, as reported Between, Wednesday, 30 December.

He said their biggest offense was drug abuse and he never tolerated police personnel who were involved in drug abuse.

"So, if you ask for help crying to me, I never forgive, I never forgive. Just one word, my disposition to the head of the Propam Division (Polda North Sumatra) is only one, immediately PDTH," he said.
