DKI Transportation Agency Finds Consultants To Evaluate Bike Paths Via Auction, Budget Reaches Rp. 2 Billion
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has budgeted IDR 2 billion in the 2023 APBD for the evaluation and study of bicycle paths that have been built in Jakarta.
Head of DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that currently his party is holding an open auction to find consultants who are qualified in evaluating bicycle paths.
"Our new budget is now in the bidding process for the consulting services. The winner will be appointed through the auction process, of course by the BPTJ (Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency)," Syafrin told reporters, Wednesday, January 25.
Syafrin targets the auction process for consulting services to be carried out for around two months until March 2023. After that, in April, it is targeted to be able to sign the auction contract.
"We hope that if the auction is now being processed, in April we will have a contract, then we can carry out a comprehensive evaluation by the winning consultant," said Syafrin.
In total, DKI Transportation Agency has allocated a budget of IDR 7.5 billion for bicycle lanes. However, this budget is not allocated to increase the length of bicycle lanes in Jakarta.
In detail, a budget of Rp. 2 billion is allocated to evaluate or study existing bicycle paths, Rp. 500 million for socialization of bicycle paths in each administrative city, and Rp. 5 billion for optimizing existing bicycle paths.
In the evaluation program with a budget of IDR 2 billion, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency will later conduct a study on the condition of using bicycle lanes on existing roads.
Meanwhile, optimizing bicycle lanes with a budget of IDR 5 billion will be used for repairs and relocation of bicycle lanes that are considered less than optimal.
