Lazio Midfielder Itubukti Jitu, Sukses Patakan 'Kutukan' Against AC Milan

JAKARTA - Lazio destroyed defending champion AC Milan with a score of 4-0 in the Italian Serie A match which was played at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome, on Wednesday, January 25 in the morning WIB. In that match, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, scored the opening goal for Biancocelesti.

While the other three goals were scored by Mattia Zaccagni, Luis Alberto's penalty, and Felipe Anderson.

This victory boosted Lazio's position to third in the standings with 37 points. Maurizio Sarri's team took the lead on Inter Milan and AS Roma.

For Milinkovic-Savic, this is not just an ordinary win. He was finally able to break the curse of never scoring a goal against I Rossonerri.

The Serbian said he already had the intuition to end the curse. He even chose to play himself in the Fantasy Football game for the match against AC Milan.

"I read a lot of articles saying I never scored a goal against Milan, but I have a feeling that it will change tonight. I got three points in Fantasy Football," Milinkovic-Savic was quoted as saying by Antara from Football Italia.

"It may be a beautiful night, a great game in front of our fans, everyone is playing well, and this is a result worth getting. Now we have to keep grounded and enforce our heads, we will keep going," he added.

After losing 1-2 to Lecce and drawing 2-2 with Empoli in their first two games in 2023, Lazio recorded a positive trend in their last three matches.

The capital team successfully won 2-0 at Sassuolo's headquarters in the league, then won 1-0 over Bologna at the Italian Cup, before winning big over AC Milan.

However, Lazio are far enough behind leaders Napoli, who have collected 50 points from 19 games, which is 13 points.

When asked if Lazio would someday be able to win the league title, Milinkovic-Savic did not hesitate to express his optimism.

"Why not? If we play like this against defending champions, why can't we do it," Milinkovic-Savic said.
