The Ciracas Police have arrested 16 applicants for fake donations in front of a commercial store, Jalan Raya Field Shooting, Cibubur Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta.

They were arrested for asking for donations from the community on behalf of the orphanage and twofa Islahul Hayat. On average, they come from the Bogor area, West Java.

Ciracas Police Chief Kompol Jupriono said 16 people were suspected of seeking donations on behalf of the Yatim foundation and Duafa Islahul Hidup which lives in Pamulang, South Tangerang.

"They are suspected of being fund seekers and have been secured at the Cibubur Village Office. Of the 16 people, 12 fund seekers are women and 4 fund seekers are men," said Kompol Jupriono, Tuesday, January 24.

Previously, the perpetrators were arrested because there were public reports that in the white Daihatsu Xenia car F 1403 RK contained the perpetrators with 10 charity boxes found.

"After the 16 people were secured in Cibubur Village, they were then asked what their purpose and purpose were. They explained that from the Islahul Hayat foundation as a volunteer assigned to find funds for the foundation," he said.

However, after being asked further for the 16 people and checking via telephone to the Islahul Hayat Foundation, it turned out that they were not fund seeker officers for the foundation.

"The foundation is not responsible for their actions. Meanwhile, the way they seek funds is by walking asking for it along the way by carrying a charity box and a letter of assignment as a fundraiser for the Islahul Hayat Foundation," he explained.

The foundation is engaged in orphans and twofa in Pamulang, South Tangerang. However, after an investigation, the police did not find any criminal elements.

"They were then handed over to the Cipayung Bangun Daya 2 Bina Social Institution for further guidance," he said.

Meanwhile, the evidence confiscated was a Daihatsu Xenia car with the number F 1403 RK and 10 charity boxes.
