Gokil! Next Month Marty Friedman Will Play With Megadeth In Tokyo

JAKARTA - Marty Friedman will join Megadeth in the United States thrash metal giant concert at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan on 27 February.

The news was revealed by the fan page, Megadeth Of Destructiton some time ago. Friedman himself was the guitarist of Dave Mustaine's band in the era of Rust In Peace to Risk's album. When appearing in the Japanese radio program "Next Guitar Hero Is..." at InterFM897, Friedman who lived and recorded music in Japan since 2003 admitted that he could not provide details about the reunion.

"But we're going to play together... I'm sure it's going to be a magical night." Marty's comments were also reportedly taken by Burrn magazine! in an article that was later removed from their site.

If Friedman's performance with Megadeth materializes, it will be his first appearance with the band since he left in 2000.

Mustaine seems to have had a good relationship with Friedman in recent years, where the leader of Megadeth stated in Cameo's video that he had spoken to the guitarist on New Year's Eve yesterday.

Three years ago, Friedman admitted that money was the main motivator for him when he was approached to take part in Rust In Peace's reunion line-up album.

Friedman revealed his reason for refusing the Megadeth reunion in Mustaine's latest book, "Rust In Peace: The Inside Story Of The Megadeth Masterpiece", which details the creation of the iconic album Rust In Peace.

"My main thing is I would love to do it, but I will not take less money than I have made to do it," Friedman said.

"I have been in Japan for more than ten years cultivating a career with solid awards. I make money not only for myself but also for my management and staff. My manager has been with me for fifteen years."
