In Germany, A BioNTech-Pfizer Vaccine Overdose Health Officer

JAKARTA - A health care worker in Germany has overdosed on the COVID-19 vaccine made by BioNTech-Pfizer. The officer is currently being treated in hospital.

Eight officers received five times the recommended dose of the vaccine on Sunday, December 27. "A woman is currently an inpatient," said a spokesman for the northern district of Vorpommern-Ruegen

Even so, he did not specify the patient's condition further. What is clear is that the other three officers who were taken to the hospital for examination after experiencing flu-like symptoms have now been allowed to go home.

Of the 1.5 million injections given worldwide, this is the first known overdose case by BioNTech.

During the trial, doses of up to 100 micrograms given did not cause serious side effects. It was over 30 micrograms, which is now the standard size, according to the company.
