Indonesia's Deputy No Sustainable, India Open 2023 Final Without Red And White Athletes

JAKARTA - Indonesia certainly does not have a representative in the final of the India Open 2023. Three Indonesian representatives who participated in the semifinals, Friday, January 21, died.

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, who appeared first, suffered a heartbreaking defeat against Kunlavut Vitidsarn. Ginting had to give up after going through a two-game match for 58 minutes.

Ginting actually performed well in the first game. However, the opponent was no less good. The Indonesian men's singles finally gave up with a score of 25-27 and 15-21.

"If the first game can win, it will certainly affect the opponent's performance. I'm just not in detail at the last points," Ginting said, as quoted by Antara.

Another Indonesian men's singles, Jonatan Christie, also failed. The fourth seed had to erase her hopes of going to the top party after losing to Viktor Axelsen in two straight games 6-21, 12-21.

"Meanwhile, I did a lot of mistakes. Meeting Viktor must be able to maintain momentum," he said.

Indonesia's hope of placing one representative in the final finally disappeared after Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto's pair fell.

They gave up from representatives of Malaysia, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik, through a three-game match. Having won 21-11 in the first game, the champion of the Malaysia Open 2023 then lost with a score of 15-21 and 16-21.
