The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Ensures That Investigators Do Not Ask For Personal Matters In The Lukas Enembe Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has ensured that investigators are not nosy about digging into personal matters when examining witnesses regarding the alleged bribery and gratification that ensnared the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe. They focus on proving the articles applied.
"We emphasize that regarding the examination material from this witness, investigators will certainly investigate the fulfillment of the articles applied," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Saturday, January 21.
"So it's not a personal, private matter like what, romance," he continued.
He said the business he mentioned above was not the domain of investigators. The KPK will not care because the investigation into the receipt of bribes and gratuities is more important.
"So it's not that (the private sphere, red). But then what investigators are asking is related to the proof of the elements of the article," said Ali.
The anti-corruption commission recently summoned witnesses to investigate the alleged bribery and gratification that ensnared Lukas. Among them are his wife and son, Yulce Wenda-Astract Bona Timoramo Enembe.
From the examination, the KPK suspected that the two of them had interfered in determining the company that won the project in Papua. In addition, both of them are suspected of knowing about the handover of money by the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka, to Lukas Enembe.
As previously reported, Lukas Enembe was detained at the KPK Detention Center Pomdam Jaya Guntur branch for allegedly accepting bribes and gratuities related to a number of projects in Papua.
The receipt of money from allegedly came from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka, so that the company would receive the project. The KPK said that this collusion was also carried out by Lukas and other Papuan provincial government officials.
As for the case, the KPK said there was an agreement to provide a fee of 14 percent of the contract value. Fee must be free from tax reduction.
At least, there are three projects that Rijantono got for this evil consensus. The first is the improvement of the Entro-Hamadi Road with a project value of Rp. 14.8 billion.
Rehabilitation of facilities and infrastructure supporting PAUD Integration with a project value of IDR 13.3 billion. Finally, the venue environmental planning project developed outdoor AURI with a project value of IDR 12.9 billion.
After the project was won, Rijantono handed over Rp1 billion to Lukas. In addition, Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of up to billions of rupiah.
