Sri Mulyani Salurkan Bansos In East Java: Budget This Year Rp476 Trillion, Don't Be Corruptioned
Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani and Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini today reviewed the distribution of social assistance at the Pujon District Office, East Java Malang Regency (East Java).
During the visit, the Minister of Finance had the opportunity to have a dialogue with the Beneficiary Families (KPM) who received social assistance. In his statement, the state treasurer said that the approach built by Social Minister Risma was very different.
"I myself saw that he was empowering or providing empowerment so that the community could be more economically independent," he said in a written statement on Friday, January 20.
The Minister of Finance explained that his party will continue to support the efforts of the Ministry of Social Affairs to realize the independence of the people of welfare through the social protection budget. He said, various programs that provide tangible results are expected to be maintained and continued.
"We will support measures to be able to overcome poverty, solutions for people with disabilities, and empowerment which is a package of positive activities," he said.
As for the budget side, the Minister of Finance emphasized that the amount of funds budgeted for this year reached hundreds of trillions.
"The government has allocated a social protection budget in the 2023 State Budget of Rp476 trillion with the aim of protecting the most vulnerable and poor," he said.
The Minister of Finance hopes that this budget will really be used to directly assist targets in need and empower various programs of the Ministry of Social Affairs, so that people get maximum benefits.
"I am happy. Hopefully, the entire budget from social protection that has been allocated in the APBN can really benefit those who need it and are not corrupted," he concluded.
