Finally, Twitter's New For You Tab Is NOW Available For Android Users!
JAKARTA - The new interface with the presence of new For You and Following tabs on the Twitter homepage is available to all Android users, starting Friday, January 20.
Both of these tabs were first rolled out to iOS users on January 11. Three days later, Twitter rolled out this tab to the desktop version of Twitter. And now, the For You tab is also available for Android users.
The addition of this new tab is expected so that Twitter can change the way you move between algorithm-driven timelines and inverse chronology and turn algorithmic feeds into defaults.
It’s your turn Android — no more ✨ icon. Upgrade to the latest version of the app to switch between “For you” and “Following”.

For You, which shares a name with a TikTok algorithm-based feed, is similar to the old "Home" option, which displays tweets from people you follow, interspersed with tweets you might like.
Whereas in this Following tab, Twitter will only display tweets from accounts that users follow based on the latest time. So, if you shift to this tab, the Twitter timeline will display the latest tweets from the accounts you follow.
Changes make Twitter more accessible to switch between some features, as now only one sweep is needed, instead of a few taps. The changes partially fulfill the promise of Twitter CEO Elon Musk.
On December 20, he tweeted that "the main timeline should allow easy side-to-side friction between the top, latest, trend, and those you follow," and said the company would "immediately make these changes".
