JK: If You Don't Want To Catch COVID-19, Get Vaccinated

JAKARTA - Chairperson of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) HM Jusuf Kalla stated that the public must vaccinate if they do not want to be infected with COVID-19, which is still unknown when it will end.

"The appeal is that if you don't want to be infected, that's definitely vaccination, that's all," said Jusuf Kalla while visiting the PMI Aceh Province Headquarters in Banda Aceh City, reported by Antara, Tuesday, December 29.

He said the public need not be afraid of the COVID-19 vaccination. There has been a lot of scientific evidence that shows that vaccination can prevent viral infections that attack the human lungs.

"It (vaccination) is only less than a minute away, instead of staying 14 days (isolation) in the hospital, which one," said Jusuf Kalla, who also invited the public to join the government program to vaccinate COVID-19.

"Like it or not (vaccination) must be carried out," said the former Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Previously, Jusuf Kalla also said that PMI was ready to help distribute the COVID-19 vaccination to all corners of Indonesia when the vaccine arrived in Indonesia.

This was conveyed by JK during his presence inaugurating the arenatorium in Makassar, Thursday (12/11).

He said PMI had prepared around 230 blood donor units (UDD) scattered throughout Indonesia which functioned as vaccine delivery posts accompanied by thousands of vaccine workers.
