In One Day, Two Pekalongan Residents Are Found Dead In The Sengkarang River
PeKALONGAN - A resident of Karanganyar, Pekalongan Regency, was shocked by the discovery of two bodies in the flow of the Sengkarang river on Thursday, January 19. The beginning of the discovery began when a river material search worker named Mufidah (40) saw a corpse on the river rocks.
Half panicked, Mufidah then reported the incident to the Head of Kayugeritan Village, Suyatno (57) who immediately coordinated with the police.
The police then checked the location and conducted a search. However, from the results of a search in the field, it turned out that another body was found in the Sengkarang river.
The two bodies were immediately taken to the Kajen Hospital for post-mortem, after officers conducted a crime scene investigation and examined a number of witnesses
In detail of the incident, the Head of Pekalongan Police, AKBP Arief Fajar Satria, said the two bodies were found at different hours.
"It is true that two bodies were found in the flow of the Sengkarang river, Kayugeritan village, Pekalongan. The two bodies were found at different hours. The first body was found at 07.15 WIB and the second body was found at 12.30 WIB. Both have been identified and have been post-mortem at the Kajen Hospital," said Arief in his written statement.
The identities of the bodies found were Didik Maryoko (35), male, resident of Bandar District, Batang Regency and Setyo Meinarno (39), male, resident of Kajen District, Pekalongan Regency.
Arief said, from the results of the external post-mortem, there were no suspicious signs from the two bodies. Currently, both of them have been returned to their respective families for burial.
"The victim's family has accepted the incident as a disaster. After being handed over to their respective families, the two bodies were immediately buried," he said
