The National Police Traces Other Parties Involved In The Jamaah Islamiyah Network Training
JAKARTA - The National Police continues to investigate the case of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) youth terrorist training. JI is known to recruit young terrorists.
"It is possible that if there are parties involved, new suspects will emerge. We do not rule out the possibility," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, to reporters, Tuesday, December 29.
Densus 88 Antiteror previously arrested 23 suspected terrorists from the JI network. They were arrested in 8 regions in Sumatra.
Densus 88 Anti-terror investigators will dig up their statements regarding this case. "Now it is still being processed by Densus 88 and further investigation," he said.
Of the dozens of suspected terrorists who have been arrested, two of them are Taufik Bulaga alias Upik Lawanga and Zulkarnain.
Densus 88 Anti-terror Police then dismantled the training ground for the JI terrorist network in a number of locations in Gintungan Village, Bandungan, Semarang, Central Java.
