SMRC Survey: Ganjar Pranowo The Highest Choice For Presidential Candidates In 2024, Prabowo-Anies Follows
JAKARTA - The Saiful Mujani Research Center (SMRC) survey institute released the results of a survey regarding the electability of a number of figures as presidential candidates that the public will elect in 2024.
Executive Director of SMRC, Sirojudin Abbas said the survey results showed Ganjar Pranowo was the figure with the highest chance of being elected to become a candidate for President in 2024.
"In the semi-open simulation, the interviewer mentioned many names of figures to be chosen and respondents were allowed to choose other names other than those mentioned by the interviewer. Ganjar Pranowo received 15.7 percent support," Abbas said in a virtual survey presentation, Tuesday, December 29.
The electability of other presidential candidates, namely Prabowo Subianto, was 14.9 percent, then Anies Baswedan was 11 percent, Sandiaga Uno was 7.9 percent.
Furthermore, Ridwan Kamil was chosen as many as 7.1 percent of respondents, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono was selected by 3.1 percent, Tri Rismaharini 3.1 percent, and other names under 2 percent. Then, 31.5 percent did not know / did not answer.
If you look at support based on the mass of party voters, support for Ganjar came mostly from PDIP supporters at 28 percent, PKB supporters by 27 percent, PPP 21 percent, and NasDem 20 percent.
"Support from the masses of voters for Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 Presidential Election is spread mostly to Ganjar Pranowo at 24 percent," said Abbas.
The survey shows that support for Prabowo mainly comes from the Gerindra crowd, who 50 percent voted for Prabowo. Support for Anies Baswedan mainly came from the mass supporters of PKS at 37 percent.
Meanwhile, support for Ridwan Kamil mainly came from Golkar supporters at 21 percent. Support for Sandiaga Uno mostly came from NasDem supporters at 25 percent.
"Among those who voted for Prabowo-Sandi in the 2019 Presidential Election, at most around 39 percent would vote for Prabowo, 18 percent would vote for Anies, and 11 percent would vote for Sandiaga Uno," he explained.
For information, this survey was conducted in the period 23 to 26 December 2020. The survey was conducted via telephone interviews with 1,202 randomly selected respondents.
There is also an estimated margin of error of this survey at around 2.9 percent and a survey confidence level of 95 percent.
