After The Ribut Pungli, Now The Tangerang Old Market Is Back In Shock, A Case Of Structuring The Culinary Lapak
TANGERANG A number of traders in the Tangerang Old Market protest strongly against market managers, PT TNG because the arrangement of locations for culinary traders is considered unfair. As is known, PT TNG as the BUMD belonging to the Tangerang City Government is reorganizing the Old Market culinary area.
Based on VOI monitoring at the location, Wednesday, January 18, at 16.34 WIB, five PT TNG officials were seen surrounded by local traders. They questioned the arrangement of the location by arguing.
After a tough quarrel and negotiations, the traders finally chose to leave PT TNG officials. They try to reorganize their trade as before or reject the concept requested by PT TNG.
"Already... I've come back again like the beginning. Let him be," shouted the merchant at the Old Market, Wednesday, January 18.
PT TNG manager Rudi when met confirmed the chaotic incident. However, the chaos did not result in any casualties.
"Indeed, there was chaos earlier. But only small chaos. There are usually traders who do not accept the new arrangement," said Rudi at the location.
According to Rudi, this incident was a natural thing. Because, continued Rudy, every time there is a new policy, there must be a conflict.
"It's normal. We've been here three times. We've had it three times. (Indeed) The concept of organizing is uncomfortable. Even though they don't have social rules," he concluded.
For information, efforts to eliminate the practice of illegal levies (extortion) in the culinary area of the Old Market of Tangerang City continue to be carried out.
The Tangerang City Government plans to reorganize the area and determine levies to traders.
The practice of extortion is considered quite disturbing because traders can spend an average of IDR 100,000 for IDR 200,000 per day.
