Update On COVID-19 As Of December 29: New Cases Of 7,903, Healing, Increasing 6,805
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 65,143 specimens were examined with the results that there were 7,903 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 727,122 people," he was quoted as saying from data from the Ministry of Health, Tuesday, December 29.
Today's cases increased by 6,805, so that a total of 596,783 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 251 people and a total of 21,703 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 2,056 new cases and a total of 179,660 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by West Java which has 1,329 new cases with a total of 81,322 cases. Central Java has 1,056 new cases and a total of 79,826 cases. Then, East Java has 789 new cases and a total of 82,321 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,158 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,007 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 794 recovered cases, and East Java with an increase of 793 recovered cases.
Then, none of the provinces reported having no new cases today. Meanwhile, provinces with new cases under 10 were Aceh with 9 cases, North Maluku with 6 cases, and West Papua with 5 cases.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 7,224,452. In detail, 7,100,683 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 123,769 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 68,181 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
