The Role Of Lukas Enembe's Wife In The Bribe And Gratification Cases Of The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to investigate the role of the wife of the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe, Yulce Wenda in the bribery and gratification case that ensnared her husband. Investigation will be carried out later.

"Of course, regarding the money as stated, we will definitely explore it," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, January 18.

Not only Lukas' wife, later all witnesses will also be investigated the same thing. "The team must conduct an in-depth investigation regarding the process of alleged giving, receiving money, and using money. That's right," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the examination of Yulce and the son of Lukas Enembe, Astract Bona Timoramo Enembe, the KPK did not want to talk much. Ali only said that there are a number of things that will be explored, including the receipt of bribes by Lukas from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka.

"That the person concerned will use his right to refuse as a witness for suspect LE, we invite and of course it is conveyed in front of the investigative team so that a briefing of the minutes of his rejection is made," Ali explained.

"But for the suspect RL, there is no family relationship, so of course an examination and deepening is carried out related to the alleged bribery," continued Ali.

As previously reported, Lukas was detained after he was named a suspect in the alleged bribery and gratification of project procurement in the Papua Provincial Government. During his detention, he appeared to be wearing a wheelchair.

In this case, Lukas Enembe is suspected of receiving money from the Director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua, Rijantono Lakka, so that the company gets a project. It is suspected that this collusion was also carried out with officials in the Papua Provincial Government.

After the project was won, Rijantono handed over Rp1 billion to Lukas. In addition, Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of up to billions of rupiah.
