This Huge Oasis Fan Wants To Be Buried With Liam Gallagher's Image When He Died
JAKARTA - Being a music fan does not mean your age. Oasis fan John Smallbones (45) went viral after spending 12 thousand pounds on collecting Oasis-themed items.
Launching The Sun today, Tuesday, December 29, Smallbones claims to have heard of Oasis since 1992. Since then, he has attended 30 Oasis concerts before they decided to disband.
His love is expressed through tattoo art to a collection of Oasis-related items, including Pretty Green apparel designed by Liam Gallagher.
The reason John chose Oasis rather than The Beatles as his idol music group is because in terms of meaning and lyrics Oasis is much smarter in concocting words.
However, John felt sad when he found out that his favorite band broke up in 2009. He entertained himself by hunting for canvases and Oasis memorabilia. Even his van has a sticker with the theme of Oasis on it.
Elaine, her fiancé, said John really liked Oasis and planned to bury him with cutouts depicting Liam and Noel Gallagher when he died.
Elaine herself was not interested in Oasis. Although he has attended Liam Gallagher's concerts several times, he prefers Boyzone and Michael Jackson.
Nevertheless, Elaine supports what John likes. It's just that he made a rule: John can't put anything that smells of Oasis in the bedroom.
"I put canvases in the house, the shelves are full of items from the concerts, the bathroom is full of memorabilia, and it fills the walls too," said John Yang.
