Anies Baswedan Recovers From COVID-19 After A Month Of Independent Isolation
JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta has been declared cured of COVID-19. Based on the results of the swab test that came out today, Anies has tested negative for the corona virus.
"Alhamdulillah, Mr. Anies has been negative today," said DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria at the DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, December 29.
According to Riza, as of today Anies has returned to his private house in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta. Anies returned home after undergoing independent isolation at the official residence on Jalan Taman Suropati, Central Jakarta for one month.
"Today Mr. Anies has returned home and will soon return (to work) at City Hall," said Riza.
Anies previously tested positive for COVID-19 since 30 November. This result follows the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria, who previously tested positive since last Friday, November 27.
Anies called himself in good condition and was in the category of people without symptoms (OTG). As long as he was positive for COVID-19, he underwent independent isolation and followed the treatment procedures established by the medical team.
"I will do independent isolation in a separate place from my family and live alone. Meanwhile, my family will remain in a private residence," said Anies, some time ago.
While undergoing isolation, Anies was visited by his family. By uploading a photo on the account of his wife, Fery Farhati, the presence of the family to visit Anies in order to let go of homesickness. The window that bordered the meeting did not prevent Anies and their family from treating their nostalgia.
"Visiting my father. 16 days passed at our house without the presence of @aniesbaswedan who was undergoing independent isolation at the official residence. Missing of course," said Fery, Thursday, December 17.
Fery said, before being infected with COVID-19, Anies was always busy doing activities outside the home. Her children are willing to wait for the father, called Anies, who comes home late at night to get a hug or just to tell him about what happened during the day.
"The figure of the father is always present and sticks to the hearts of the children. This time we want to be there for the father. Letting go of missing a moment from behind the window. With a prayer, hopefully he will get well soon and can gather again together at home," he said.
