Caroline Baskin's name became known after appearing in the series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness which was released on Netflix in March. This documentary series tells the competition of Joe Exotic and Caroline Baskin, who are fellow zoo owners.

The two of them accuse each other of the program and the conditions of the zoo they manage. Currently, Joe Exotic is serving a sentence for 21 cases, one of which is the attempted murder of Baskin.

Caroline Baskin had protested against Netflix because her depiction in the documentary series was made like a villain and featured a story about her husband, Don Lewis, who disappeared near his zoo.
