Ferdy Sambo Demanded To Life, Prosecutors Called There No Righter And Applicabler Reasons For His Errors

JAKARTA - Defendant Ferdy Sambo was sentenced to life imprisonment in the alleged murder case of Yosua alias Brigadier J. The prosecutor said the charges were given because there was no reason for the just andaffair for the former Head of Propam Division.

"That in the trial of the defendant Ferdy Sambo, there was no validity or excuse for forgiveness that could erase the unlawful nature and guilt of the defendant Ferdy Sambo," said the prosecutor at the trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, January 17.

In addition, based on the results of the trial in the evidentiary stage, the prosecutor considers Ferdy Sambo's actions to have been legally and convincingly proven to have violated the alleged article, namely Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

Then, Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Electronic Transaction Information in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.

"That the defendant Ferdy Sambo is in physical and spiritual health and there is no real reason for the just and the excuse for acquitting all legal charges for his actions as referred to in articles 44 to 51 of the Criminal Code, then the defendant Ferdy Sambo must be sentenced to a crime commensurate with his actions," said the prosecutor.

Ferdy Sambo was sentenced to life imprisonment in the alleged murder case of Yosua alias Brigadier J.

Behind the demands, there were several considerations from the prosecutor. However, there is not a single mitigating factor for Ferdy Sambo.

"There is nothing mitigating," he said.

Meanwhile, for burdensome considerations, there are at least six points. First, Ferdy Sambo's actions resulted in the loss of Brigadier J's life and deep sorrow for his family.

Then, Ferdy Sambo was convoluted and did not admit his actions in providing information at trial. His absence caused unrest and chaos in the community.

Then, Ferdy Sambo's actions are deemed inappropriate in his position as a law enforcement officer and high-ranking police officer.

"The defendant's actions have tarnished the police institution in the eyes of the Indonesian people and the international community and the actions of the defendants have caused many other members of the National Police to be involved," said the prosecutor.

In this case, Ferdy Sambo is said to have planned the murder of Brigadier J. Planning was carried out on the third floor of Saguling's house, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta.

The shooting of Brigadier J was carried out in the living room of the official residence of the Police Complex, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, on July 8.

The reason behind the shooting planning was because of the story about the harassment by Brigadier J against his wife, Putri Candrawathi.
