JAKARTA - Animator legend Tuck Tucker passed away on December 22. This news was shared by the Tucker family via Facebook.

“It is with a heavy heart that the Tucker family announces the passing of Tuck Tucker, a father, husband, son, sister and uncle. We know how much he is loved by everyone who meets him, ”said family representative Tuck Tucker.

They did not tell the cause of Tuck Tucker's death but the post was visited by fans of the SpongeBob Squarepants cartoon. The family also asked anyone with good memories of Tuck Tucker to share via comments.

Tuck Tucker has the real name William Osborne Tucker III and was born on August 20, 1961. His first project working on the cartoon Pinocchio and Emperor of the Night in 1987.

Then she worked for Disney's The Little Mermaid and FOX's The Simpsons.

In 1991, he moved to Nickelodeon to compile the storyboards for the cartoon Rugrats and Aaahh !!! Real Monsters and began to be trusted to direct the cartoon series Hey Arnold !.

As Hey Arnold! Ended, Tucker was tasked with creating the animation for SpongeBob SquarePants. Gradually, he developed as a writer and director for the cartoon in 2006. His closeness to the character SpongeBob made him the director for the film The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.

Tucker also directed The Fairly OddParents for season nine. His last project was All Hail King Julien in 2015.

That same year, he began lecturing in graphic design and animation at Longwood University, Farmville, Virginia. The figure is the hero behind the 2000s-era cartoons that graced television screens.

Tuck Tucker died at the age of 59.
