Aa Gym Positive COVid-19: Pray Aa Yes

JAKARTA - Lecturer Abdullah Gymnastiar (Aa Gym) announced that he was positive for COVID-19. He conveyed this news directly through his Instagram account, @aagym, Tuesday, December 29.

"Alhamdulillah, after the swab yesterday the results were positive. Alhamdulillah it means quarantine must be carried out," said Aa Gym.

He said that before he was found out positive for COVID-19, he carried out a number of activities. Wednesday, December 23, he traveled from Jakarta to Bandung.

On Thursday, December 24th, he felt that his body was still healthy. He's even still doing activities like swimming, and camping. On Friday, December 25, he also biked and performed Friday prayers at the Salman Mosque, outside his courtyard.

However, when he returned to Jakarta on Saturday 26 December, Aa Gym's condition began to decline. She was then given an IV and took various vitamins to get her body back into shape.

At that time, he underwent a rapid antibody test, the results were inactive.

He suspected exhaustion had caused his body condition to deteriorate. Aa Gym carried out independent isolation even though the antibody rapid test results were inactive.

On Monday, December 28th, he took a swab test with his son. As a result, the child is inactive and Aa Gym is positive for COVID-19.

"In the swab, including students who like to accompany and after the swab last night, the results were that the children were negative, did not have COVID, and Aa was positive for COVID," he continued.

Aa Gym asked the community for prayers so that he could recover from COVID-19. In addition, Aa Gym asked people who had contact with him in the near future to do a Corona test as well.

"Thank you, my dear friends, I pray that hopefully there is an age, we can fight together again. Whatever happens, hopefully we will gather in heaven. Forgive everyone and pray," he said.
