The Governor Of West Sumatra Will Permanent Online Learning System
PADANG - West Sumatra Governor Irwan Prayitno requested that the online system be permanent even though COVID-19 has subsided.
"This online system previously existed, but for reasons of ineffectiveness, it disappeared. Because of COVID-19, we inevitably have to use it online again. In the future this system will be permanent," he said as quoted by Antara, Monday, December 28.
Therefore, Irwan asked every school in West Sumatra to be equipped with online facilities and infrastructure so that they would not be constrained by the implementation of the system.
The West Sumatra Education Office must cooperate with the local Kominfo Office to install the equipment in every school in West Sumatra. Starting from the computer, the network and all devices to the online system.
Meanwhile, the Head of the West Sumatra Education Office, Adib Alfikri, admitted that he was ready to perpetuate the online system for school learning in West Sumatra. However, according to him, the implementation needs support from all parties.
"At the SMA / SMK level, most of them already have an internet network. Whereas not, we will try to do the best possible," he said.
Regarding face-to-face learning, he said it was planned to be held on January 4, 2021.
However, there are a number of conditions that must be met, including health protocol facilities and infrastructure in each school.
"We have made various preparations, for schools that will carry out face-to-face learning to prepare health protocols in accordance with the stipulated terms and conditions," he said.
Adib said that most parents supported face-to-face learning starting January 2021.
