Kominfo Will Take Down Videos Of Provocative Narrative Songs Of Indonesia Raya

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) has lowered viral uploads related to the video of the song Indonesia Raya with an element of insult. The same will be done to many other digital platforms.

Given the many accounts across platforms that re-upload the video with various provocative narratives. There is concern that the upload of the song is about escalating conflict.

"The distribution that has just emerged will certainly be dealt with in the same way, by submitting a take-down request," said Kominfo spokesman, Dedy Permadi to VOI, Monday, December 28.

Kominfo admits that it is still investigating this harassment. Regarding legal issues, Dedy left it entirely to the Police.

Meanwhile, the 1.30-minute video shared by MY Asean accounts cannot be found on YouTube. Even so, the channel is still there.

As previously reported, the Malaysian Government through the Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta has made a strong statement. They strongly criticized the actions that were considered provocative. The harassment of the Indonesia Raya song is thought to affect the relationship between Malaysia and Indonesia.

"The Malaysian government strongly condemns any negative provocation which is intended to affect the close bilateral relations between Malaysia and Indonesia," wrote a statement from the Malaysian Embassy, Monday, December 28.
