"Receives League 2 Club Audience On Continuation Of Competition," Menpora: We Try The Best Exit Road
JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Zainudin Amali received representatives of a number of League 2 clubs for hearings related to the stopped 2022/2023 season competition. From the results of the hearing meeting, the Minister emphasized that he would find the best solution for the situation.
Earlier I received friends from several League 2 clubs and from the Indonesian Professional Players Association (APPI). They conveyed several things related to the competition in Liga 2 which had been announced to be stopped, Open Zainudin Amali after an audience meeting at the Kemenpora Building, Senayan, Monday 16 January.
"After I heard that then I said, I will find a way out," he continued firmly.
Regarding the solution that is meant by the Minister of Youth and Sports, it will first be taken by establishing communication with relevant stakeholders.
Even though the decision that the competition has been stopped, the Menpora still has little hope that League 2 can continue again.
"I will communicate with PSSI, with the Executive Committee (Exco), then with related parties. Who knows, the business can still work (League 2)," he hoped.
Previously, PSSI together with PT.Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) had decided based on the Exco meeting to permanently stop League 2 and League 3 this season. The decision was rejected by a number of League 2 clubs.
Persipura Jayapura Representative Yan P Mandenas, who was also present on this occasion, also conveyed their main purpose. He emphasized that all representatives agreed to come with the same goal, namely to continue the competition.
"Our presence is indeed spontaneous, so it is not well organized but we have the same mission," said Yan.
"Our goal is only one, Liga 2 can continue, that's all. Because this competition has been played, unless it hasn't been played yet, then it can be stopped." he said.
