Gerindra Calls The Decision Of Ijtima Ulama Nusantara To Be A Consideration Of Cak Imin And Prabowo Certains President-Cawapres
JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra DPP Sufmi Dasco Ahmad responded to Ijtima' Ulama Nusantara's decision asking PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin to immediately announce the presidential and vice presidential candidates. Ijtima Ulama Indonesia gave a deadline to Cak Imin until before Eid.Dasco said that whatever decisions and demands were requested by the ulama would be considered for the PKB-Gerindra coalition axis which handed over the authority related to the presidential election to the two general chairmen. Namely, PKB chairman Muhaimin Iskandar and Gerindra chairman Prabowo Subianto."Of course it will be considered by two people, namely Pak Prabowo and Pak Muhaimin, who have indeed done political work by signing a cooperation agreement. Where the presidential and vice presidential candidates will be jointly determined by Pak Prabowo and Pak Muhaimin," said Dasco at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, January 16.Dasco ensured that Gerindra would continue to monitor political dynamics after the ijtima' ulama decision. The deputy chairman of the DPR also asked the public to wait for confirmation regarding the determination of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates to be announced by the Gerindra and PKB coalitions.Moreover, said Dasco, the two political parties will immediately inaugurate the Joint Secretariat (Sekber) towards the 2024 presidential election. He said the Gerindra-PKB Coalition had agreed to inaugurate the Secretary on Monday, January 23."So, we'll just have to wait. Incidentally next week we will inaugurate the Gerindra-PKB Secretary on Monday, January 23, 2023," said Dasco.
