Check Rizieq Shihab, Bareskrim Investigator Ask About The Crowd Process In Megamendung
JAKARTA - The Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Rizieq Shihab, has completed an examination regarding the suspected crowd case and violation of health protocols that occurred in Megamendung, Bogor. During the investigation, Rizieq was asked to explain the process of the crowd.
"Regarding the crowd process at the FPI Megamendung headquarters which resulted in a violation of health protocols," said the Director of General Crimes at the Indonesian National Police, Brigadier General Andi Rian, to VOI, Monday, December 28.
The examination of Rizieq Shihab was carried out to complete the investigation file. This is because investigators are preparing case files which will later be delegated to the investigating prosecutors.
"Yes, only for completing files," he said.
Meanwhile, Rizieq Shihab's attorney, Aziz Yanuar, said that the examination of his client only lasted for about three hours. In this examination, investigators from Bareskrim Polri questioned the crowd at Markaz Syariah, Megamendung, on November 13.
"The questions were approximately 56 and revolved around the crowd," he said.
Rizieq Shihab was named a suspect in the alleged health protocol (prokes) case that took place in Megamendung, West Java. Determination of the suspect is based on evidence and case title.
However, in this case, said Andi, investigators applied a different article to the crowd case in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. Investigators fully use articles related to health quarantine.
In this case, the investigator used Article 14 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning Contagious Disease Outbreaks, Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine, and Article 216 of the Criminal Code.
