Police Investigate Video Of Armed Motorcycle Gang In Sukabumi
SUKABUMI - The Warudoyong Police, Sukabumi City Resort, investigates a 50-second video showing the action of a motorcycle gang in Sukabumi City, West Java, brandishing sharp weapons during a convoy on motorbikes.
"We received a report regarding a video of a motorcycle gang carrying out a reckless convoy while brandishing sharp weapons while crossing Pabuaran Street, Nyomplong Village, Warudoyong District," said Warudoyong Police Chief Daily Executive (Plh) AKP Iman Retno, as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, January 15th.
The 50-second video shows dozens of youths riding six motorbikes recklessly, such as driving their motorbikes in a zig-zag manner when crossing Pabuaran Street.
To make matters worse, this group carried various types of sharp weapons and brandished them while shouting. The information in the video states that their action was carried out on Sunday, (15/1) in the morning, but it is not known exactly when it happened. As a result of the spread of the video, residents became restless and worried about their activities at night.
The police have not been able to confirm the veracity of the video, but judging from its location it does look like Pabuaran Street, Nyomplong Village. But the exact time is not yet clear, because from Saturday (14/1) evening to Sunday (15/1) in the early morning, personnel were on standby around the location.
"Our personnel who were in the vicinity said that there was no incident and that the jurisdiction of the Warudoyong Police was safe. However, we are still deploying to the location to ensure the veracity of the video," he added.
The police ensure that strict action is taken against the perpetrators involved. But until now, his party has not received any reports of victims as a result of their actions or the commotion by this motorcycle gang.
