Dozens Of Elementary School Students In Cianjur Whose Schools Ambruk Due To Earthquakes Can Go Back To School
CIANJUR - Cipetir State Elementary School Building, Ciwalen Village, Warung Kondang District, Cianjur Regency, which was previously destroyed by an earthquake, can now be used again for teaching and learning activities for students.
The Regent of Cianjur, H. Herman Suherman said, there are already four classes that have been built. Herman also said that he believes the Cipetir State Elementary School building is very strong and good.
"Earlier we saw the school building that Domus built. This is an extraordinary quality. Even though this is a temporary school, I think this can be used as a permanent school. Because the floor is already wearing ceramics, the ceiling uses PVC, and the wall is also already using a hebel and the pole uses light steel. I think this is not a temporary school. This is a permanent school. And also seeing the houses that have been built by Domus, I see for myself this is very good. And hopefully Domus can help the citizens of Cianjur in the context of Cianjur Bangkit," said Herman at SD Negeri Cipetir.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SDN Cipetir, Dodo Suhendar, explained that Cipetir State Elementary School was previously badly damaged by the 5.6 M earthquake that rocked Cianjur 2 months ago. However, in a short time, the school student was able to be reused with a new building donated by PT Tatalogam Lestari. Now his students have been able to undergo teaching and learning activities safely and comfortably return.
"Alhamdulillah, we were very happy when we first entered the second semester of learning, the room could be used. Hopefully today after the Regent's inauguration, this room is really effective for learning so that our children can learn comfortably," said Dodo on the same occasion.
Dodo said that the construction of 4 new classes at Cipetir State Elementary School took place very quickly. The construction only takes 15 days.
Furthermore, CFO of PT Tatalogam Lestari, Wulani Wihardjono explained, the education sector is one of the main focuses of CSR Tatalogam Group activities in addition to the construction of disaster-affected housing. As the largest light steel company in Indonesia, Tatalogam Group with its innovations also continues to strive to make development in disaster-affected areas faster, precise and efficient. Evidently, in several other disaster-affected areas such as in Jogja, Sulawesi and Lombok, housing and public facilities such as schools can be quickly rebuilt.
