Sandiaga Uno: Banyuwangi Development As A Tourist Destination Can Be Integrated With West Bali
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno stated that the development of Banyuwangi as a tourist destination can be integrated with the western part of Bali and East Java which is a National Tourism Strategic Area.
"Therefore, we must be involved in the midst of society, we must be present and absorb their aspirations, that's what I have proven. Moreover, in 2024 we are targeting 4.4 million new quality jobs," he said during the Workshop on Increasing Unggulan Creative Commodities for the Creation of New Jobs in Pesucen Village, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, quoted from Antara, Sunday, January 15.
On this occasion, he encouraged the improvement of the quality of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) products in order to have superior products.
"Improving the quality of MSME products must lead to job creation and absorbing people's aspirations, especially related to solutions so that the economy rises, jobs are created," said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
Furthermore, Sandiaga also looked around and bought fostered MSME products from the Entrepreneurship Community Movement (Gemawira).
According to him, MSME products that are traded encourage economic improvement and help the recovery of creative economy actors.
"Earlier I asked the mothers who were selling sweets, the sales only recovered by 50 percent when compared to before the pandemic. This means that we must continue to work hard so that their economy recovers," he said.
Also attending to accompany the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, namely the Director of Creative Economy Human Resources Development of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Alexander Reyaan.
