The Story Of Luka Jovic, Who Was Tempted By Madrid's Offer And Now Rarely Plays

JAKARTA - Luka Jovic tells of his adventures at Real Madrid. From the moment he received an offer from Los Blancos until the present conditions that rarely get a place in Zinedine Zidane's first team.

Jovic said that when he was told about Real Madrid's interest he didn't believe it and thought his agent was joking. But Real Madrid then poured in 60 million euros to bring Jovic to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu from Eintracht Frankfurt after he bagged 17 goals in 32 Bundesliga matches.

"My agent called me and told me that Real Madrid called, and that they wanted me," said Jovic, reported Marca, Tuesday, February 4. "I replied, 'don't tease me' please '."

"But he said yes, there was an offer and I had to think about it. Of course I said yes and I don't think it's a mistake because the biggest team in the world only calls once."

Despite being highly prized by Los Blancos, Jovic's career in Spain has not started as well as he would have liked, as he has only scored one goal in La Liga Santander this season.

"In my country (Serbia), I still think there is a negative attitude when talking about my performance at Real Madrid," continued Jovic. "But I believe I will do well and I will prove that I am a Real Madrid player, because I have quality."

"I don't use social media a lot, and I only have Instagram. If I'm honest, I'm only focused on football and my fitness. I'm in the middle of a hard adaptation period, so I have to work harder."

There are several aspects of life at Real Madrid that Jovic enjoys, the main one being the starting time of the training sessions.

"The most important thing here (at Real Madrid) is that you don't have to get up early for training," said Jovic. "So that's very helpful."

It's nothing, Jovic claims he has had trouble sleeping throughout his life. So, in Madrid, he can get up a little later, then have breakfast and go to the training ground.

"Training (in Madrid) is much more fun than in Germany, so I enjoy it more. Then after training sessions you can continue to train on the pitch, or get massage treatments. And in the afternoon, we are usually free," added the 22-year-old striker.
