Throughout 2022, There Were 1,616 Jandas Who Were DISmissed By The Madiun Religious Court

JAKARTA - The Religious Court of Madiun Regency, East Java, handled 1,616 divorce dispute hearings in the local area during the 2022 period, with cases dominated by lawsuit divorce from the wife.

Local data noted that of the 1,616 divorce cases handled, the most or 1,160 cases were divorced and the remaining 455 cases were divorced.

"If we look at the data on divorce cases in 2022, it is more dominant in applying for divorce from women," said the Junior Registrar of the Madiun Regency Religious Court, Rini Wulandari, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, January 14.

The same condition also occurs in 2021. Based on data in 2021, out of 1,649 divorce cases handled by the local religious court, 464 cases were divorce cases and the remaining 1,185 cases were divorced.

The trigger factors of the divorce case vary. Starting from family economic problems to third party reasons or infidelity.

"The most cases of divorce lawsuits are due to economic factors. Infidelity also exists, but not as big as economic factors," he said.

Although the number of divorce cases is still high in 2022, Rini said that statistically it has decreased compared to divorce cases during 2021.

Meanwhile, entering the second week in January 2023, cases of divorce applications that have been submitted to the local Religious Court have reached dozens of cases. Both in the form of divorce applications and lawsuits.
